Sleepy Time Thought: With the death of Andrew Breitbart and Olympia Snowe leaving the Senate, the "both sides" meme is going into overtime. "Oh, sure Brietbart was loud and abrasive but he was just the flip side of Daily KOS." "Fox News is just a conservative version of Keith Olbermann or Rachel Maddow." "See? Olympia Snowe says the Senate is broken so it must be both the Republicans AND the Democrats that broke it!"

Absolute bullshit.

The "both sides" meme is propagated by corporate owned media who are invested in obscuring the truth and enabled by people don't have the spine to take a stand. They don't want to be called a "liberal" or a "radical" or make waves so they stand idly by and bemoan the hyper-partisanship. I expect that from the media because it's easier to repeat the meme than to face the torrent of lies from the Right but for the rest?

You disgust me.

If you can listen to Rush Limbaugh call women who use birth control "whores" and "sluts" and then turn around and say that the same kind of vitriol comes from the Left, you sir or madam, are a goddamn liar. You're a liar and you KNOW you're a liar. How do we know this? Because the only time you show any passion is when someone calls you on your bullshit and demands that you prove it. All of a sudden you're quite eager to throw names around like "angry liberal" and "crazy hippie."

If only you could motivate yourself that much to fight for the truth. But it's so much easier to sit on your ass and whine about how both sides need to compromise.

Don't worry, you just sit back and let us keep the Republicans from destroying your life. Wouldn't want to get your dainty little hands dirty, would we?
