Freddy The Freeloader (don't know why I didn't know that)
Lucky Strike/Means Fine Tobacco
Shadow

I was very young when the Lone Ranger rode off into the sunset.
No reason why I didn't know Red Skeltons friend or the Lucky Strike commercial.
Shadow probably just was not watched at our house.

I was thinking The Big Bopper and Richie Valens, which are also acceptable answers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Day_the_Music_Died

Otherwise, I got all of them correct except #16 and 20

Good one!
Most of these items were talked about on tv.
I imagine the generation before us would have a list of stuff compiled of things that they heard on the radio.

In a couple of years the kids that were born right after the Baby Boomers, in 1965, will start turning 50, and they will have quite a different list.

And the kids that were born in 1985 will probably have a whole list of stuff that they first saw on the internet.

I'm gonna ask my wife to put on a dress, pearl necklace and high heels while I change into a suit and tie so we can sit on the couch and wait for Wally and the Beav to come home.

He, who used to sing, "Nestle's makes the very best...Chhhhooooocolate..." on long car rides. He, who sat and watch old television shows/movies/even football games replayed with me on weekends. He passed on the "trivia" of those days.

I try to do that with my own children, but they don't seem to care as much I guess. So, thanks Dad.

He also talks about a commercial that he remembers from the 60s called "Stop IT! That's a DEODORANT!" Does anyone else remember that commercial?
