I also remember the day FDR died, which makes me oh, so very old! As to the OP's quiz, I got 'em all except Freddy the Freeloader. Can't believe I missed that, since Red Skelton was a regular part of my listening pleasure. Ah, the good ol' radio days!

Anyway, that was fun.

Most of these items were talked about on tv.
I imagine the generation before us would have a list of stuff compiled of things that they heard on the radio.
In a couple of years the kids that were born right after the Baby Boomers, in 1965, will start turning 50, and they will have quite a different list.
And the kids that were born in 1985 will probably have a whole list of stuff that they first saw on the internet.

I try to do that with my own children, but they don't seem to care as much I guess. So, thanks Dad.
He also talks about a commercial that he remembers from the 60s called "Stop IT! That's a DEODORANT!" Does anyone else remember that commercial?
