Ugh. Netanyahu. There's a good potential nuclear deal with Iran

and Israel's leaders are doing everything they can to try and blow it up.

Israeli officials registered fierce opposition to an emerging international nuclear deal with Iran on Friday, making clear that the Obama administration faced the uncomfortable prospect of reaching an agreement with one of America’s firmest enemies while overriding the objections of one of its firmest friends.

Backed by bipartisan supporters in Congress, Israel is casting a pall over what the White House had hoped was good news — a bargain for Iran to suspend most of its uranium enrichment for six months in exchange for a temporary easing of sanctions. Before meeting Secretary of State John F. Kerry on Friday, however, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the agreement would give up too much too early and that it threatened Israel’s security.

Israel 'utterly rejects' potential Iran nuclear deal

Israel rejected out of hand on Friday a mooted deal between world powers and Iran, just as Secretary of State John Kerry prepared to join nuclear talks that aim to nail down an interim agreement on the decade-old standoff.

Western diplomats say that a deal at the negotiations in Geneva is far from certain, and it would in any case mark only the first step in a long process towards settling the dispute over Tehran's nuclear program.

Nevertheless, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran would be getting "the deal of the century" in the talks between Tehran and six powers.

"Israel utterly rejects it and what I am saying is shared by many in the region, whether or not they express that publicly," Netanyahu told reporters.

President Barack Obama Friday called Benjamin Netanyahu after the Israeli prime minister slammed a proposed interim nuclear deal with Iran, in an extraordinary public breach with the United States.

The White House signaled frustration with Netanyahu as negotiators from key world powers and Tehran strove for a breakthrough in talks in Geneva that offer the best hope in years of ending the atomic showdown peacefully.

But Netanyahu's complaint that the proposed agreement was "very bad" won immediate support in Congress, where the Israeli leader maintains close ties and where there are nascent efforts to tie Obama's hands in any deal with Iran.

North Korea has broken every single deal with the U.S. and the 'Death to America' crowd should not be trusted either.

This past Monday marked the 34th anniversary of the takeover of the U.S. embassy in Iran, leading to 52 Americans being held hostage for several months. Contrary to what many analysts thought, and despite the recent “thaw” and optimism considering rapprochement between Iranian authorities and American leaders, tens of thousands of Iranian demonstrators packed the streets outside of the former U.S. embassy in Tehran this year. Hundreds of thousands also demonstrated against Israel and the U.S. in other cities across the country.

The protests were unprecedented in their scale and scope, reported as the biggest anti-U.S. and anti-Israel rally in years. According to Iran’s official media, millions of people participated in these protests and demonstrations around the country, the largest turnout in years.

Additionally, the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran have designated Nov. 4 as a “National Day against Global Arrogance.” While this week, tens of thousands of Iranians shouted “death to America” and “death to Israel.” The burning of American and Israeli flags permeated throughout the cities. Furthermore, effigies of American President Barack Obama, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry were held up high by protesters.
