It Is Not Time to Re-Evaluate George W. Bush

Source: The Stranger
By Paul Constant

In his account of George W. Bush's appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Lloyd Grove calls Bush "perfectly charming," saying that the man everyone hates for destroying the United States was &quot n)owhere to be seen" on the show.

... Every retired president gets rehabilitated in one way or another, but I am not mentally prepared to watch the media frame George W. Bush as America's cool retired neighbor guy. Despite having a searchable record of the first decade of the 21st century available at our fingertips at all time, our short memory as a nation just keeps getting shorter.

Just a week ago, people were comparing the fact that the Obamacare website didn't work to President Bush's inaction during Hurricane Katrina. It took a while, but I finally came to terms with the fact that Bush and Cheney were going to get away with presiding over the collapse of the economy and the destruction of many of America's most important institutions.

and to prove to Daddy and the rest of us that, for once, he could do something without screwing it up or having Daddy come bail him out. He failed miserably and cost the rest of us a bundle. In blood and treasure, we all lost.

He didn't seem too disturbed at all last night during the interview. I saw clips on the news this a.m. I couldn't bring myself to watch The Tonight Show when it aired. I checked and saw who the guest was and just couldn't do it.

His jolly, devil may care attitude about being GLAD he is not President anymore was rather sickening, given the outcome of his term in office. He doesn't seem to have an ounce of remorse or regret. Kind of like his VEEP. They were a pair, eh?

Leno is a RW shill. I would expect comments like this from Leno without even raising my eyebrows.

Shrublet is a criminal on many levels. The rest of his family is too for that matter.
