House Speaker John Boehner has officially enrolled in a D.C. insurance exchange under the Affordable Care Act, he said in a blog post on his website Thursday evening, after having some difficulty signing up earlier in the afternoon.
"Like many Americans, my experience was pretty frustrating," he wrote of his experience at first, a reference to the dysfunction that has plagued the exchange websites since their launch.

"After putting in my personal information, I received an error message. I was able to work past that, but when I went to actually sign up for coverage, I got this 'internal server error' screen."

In his original blog post, he wrote that he had put a call into the help desk. A short while later, he added an update:

Updated (5:35 pm ET Kept at it, and called the DC Health Link help line. They called back a few hours later, and after re-starting the process on the website two more times, I just heard from DC Health Link that I have been successfully enrolled.

Yay!

I bet he didn't want to have to pay for his Ambien Prescription out of pocket.

Really sad all the millions the repug are spending on trying to keep people from signing up. but their leader is making sure his ass is covered

I can't envision Boehner sitting in front of a computer for any length of time. He's the Speaker of the House. He's an important Repug Congressman. He's a leader in the Repug Party.

I got to think that he had one of his office people do the enrolling for him and just report back to him.

If he tried to do this himself - he might have spilled a drink on his keyboard. He couldn't take the chance at doing that.

Really now - do you really believe that he did this enrolling by himself?

The repugs are spending Millions trying to convience Americans not to sign up, it's horrible it's terrible
and yet John Boehner is making sure his ass has insurance. He had until March
but he did now. He could have held out until January, Feb.
But he signed now.

But, watch him come on the news for the next 3 months screaming the ACA MUST BE STOPPED, and it's bad for America
but Good for him

I thought they already received their medical benefits as Federal employees and as such are not eligible for the ACA. What do I have wrong here?
