Momentum

Just as it seems that momentum is swinging towards the left with more people viewing the candidates on the right as dangerous buffoons aiming to wipe away civil rights and send the country back to the 1800s the left starts attacking itself again. See:

That attacks those promoting the president. Look, I have my gripes with the administration but don't understand why some sites like nakedcapitalism and firedoglake spend so much time aiding republicans. Do they think attacking the president and candidates like Elisabeth Warren helps the left? I just do not get it.

There are several months left before the election. Republican gains would be devastating to the fragile world economy, the environment, for minorities, women, workers and the poor. Why do anything to benefit republicans now? There are so many retiring from congress. Why not put energy into campaigns to get more progressive and liberals into congress and elected at the local level so that once elected they can push the administration more to the left? Wouldn't that be a better use of energy and time?

Sorry just needed to vent a bit. What do you think DU?

I have no idea what everyone's inner motives are but I can conceptualize a person who wishes to say what they believe to be true without analyzing it in terms of how it intersects the propaganda efforts of one group or another.

I am not saying that is or is not the case here. Merely that it is potentialy reasonable for a hypothetical person to think, speak and act without their primary concern being your primary concern.

You can still vote for someone but with a critical eye if your disgreement has merit. If you disagree with a Democrat on an important issue, that does not mean you should stay silent because you are scared of Republicans. There is no guilt by association if no association exists.

I'm not saying one should stay silent. Like I said I have serious issues with some things this administration has done, or more precisely not done. Really was hoping for single payer and investigations into the financial collapse. But naked capitalism and firedoglake are constantly pumping out the most virulent posts that twist every thing the administration does into a conspiracy theory. One post even claimed Elisabeth Warren was a war mongering republican.
