Thanksgiving... with that Tea Party Relative.

I know some of you have relatives you'd rather not speak to but it's Thanksgiving and they may be in your face. They may spout off about Obamacare. Well, UltraViolet.org has come up with a neat chart to help you spout back. I thought it might help. Happy Thanksgiving.

If you really want to tick off a Tea Partier....

As we approach the holiday season a lot of us will be at events and wind up trapped in conversations with Tea Party members in one way or the other at home or work.
When I've had enough of their insane blathering about whatever they hate the most - birth certificates, Benghazi, what Rush says, blah blah etc. I lean in and tell them "I'm voting for Obama/Biden again in 2016. They have a secret plan that lets him run for a third term."

Then you can just walk away or stay and watch their little brains explode like the opening of the movie Scanners.

Either way, good times.

We've done it the 'free market' way for decades and what did it get us?

Record bankruptcies for people THAT HAD INSURANCE.

Death panels that denied every freaking claim because you had a boil on your ass once.

Insurance companies that would cancel you because you got cancer.

Paying more for insurance because you were born with a uterus and not a penis.

Do I need to continue?

And guess what? Lots of people died because they didn't go to the doctor or the hospital because they couldn't AFFORD to get sick. And don't even get me started on Tort Reform...because that would mean if Aunt Martha died at the hands of the doctor, you couldn't sue for negligence. Tort Reform is not the problem. High cost CEOs and their multi-million dollar wages for making sure that they denied more and more claims.

We've done it the Republican way for decades. Let's try it with Universal Insurance for awhile and if that doesn't work, then for sure, the next step is Single Payer which should have been an option but you Republicans wouldn't have it. No sir. But THAT is where we are headed if this doesn't work, so maybe you should just count the years until we have Single Payer like the rest of the civilized countries on this planet.

GOP: Fuck 'em.

because the RW noise machine gets them MAD with their lies! This year I am fed up enough with our corrupt politicians, courts and media that they should not dare to take me on. I am tired of their hard hearted, selfish ignorance. It takes a special type of person to believe that crap and think it is the right thing. Bring it on!
Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends here at DU! Good luck with the relatives and I cannot wait to read the tales of what happened in all of these little battles across America!
I can't think of a better story to comment on for my 2,000th post!

Well, maybe in the past - all four from same side of family. Over the years they somewhere dropped all political talk at these gatherings. I talked about it with my sister, it's like they made a cohesive decision to avoid political talk.
And you know what? Good decision! When it comes to mindless dribble about football, turkey, weather and other chit chat they aren't so bad.
Now at least they do not SOUND stupid....
