and stay that way till memorial day. I remember trying to drive up "South Mountain" in freezing rain. Risky at best after a few at the "Clam Bar" The muggy summers with calls of "Charley to the Gate" coming from the Ross park zoo.

Look on the bright side. Around June the snow will be off the ground and there will always be a Spiedie Fest!

Brother in law suggested that today ay have been the coldest day there for the year - so snow greets me and a bitter cold bids me farewell. I stayed inside most of the time.
Last night we played select your tune from youtube -it was fall down funny. Folks went right back to school days then another brother in law got stuck on Bett Midler and Maria Callas. Never in my life have I heard such a range of music because the youngsters were selecting theirs as well. It was fall down funny - but given the drinks flowing, that wasn't hard either.
I'll speak about the politics as I heard it these past few days tomorrow or Monday night. .

but I never saw the spiedie display (which doesn't mean it's not there). It's convenient and very close to my peeps. There's a Subway restaurant. The aircraft simulator is a Bing original and that Corning glass museum is magnificent. Binghamton was a fabulous place for workers and was known for it's welfare capitalism. I do love the creeks, rivers and hills. I just hate the cold.

and within a short drive to some fabulous wineries and old-timey country scenery with old farmhouses on large, rolling lots. Wouldn't want to live there though.

But watching deer running in between trees in the snow from sis and BIL's place isn't half bad. They tell me a young bear was once seen on their patio and a big aggressive one was on the road on another occasion.
Pretty place - had some delish wine - red and white. Brought home a few bottles.
