On a somewhat unrelated note, did you happen to grow up outside the United States? None of my business, I suppose, but I was just curious.

A source close to the actor confirmed the report of his death to Variety.

According to TMZ, Walker was either the passenger or driver in the accident. There was another person in the car, who was also killed, but it is unclear who was driving.

Walker appeared in all but one of the successful “Fast and the Furious” movies. His other credits include “Varsity Blues,” “Flags of Our Fathers” and “Takers.”

My jaw is still on the floor from that other thread that I can no longer view because I called a grave dancer a grave dancer. No compassion for this person's family? And I'm the one in the wrong? I don't care if it's Rush Limbaugh, have a shred of decency for like a day at least.

Look yourselves in the mirror and tell yourselves this is ok. If that is the case then make no mistake, YOU are what is wrong in this world. Snickering sickos straight from the gutter.

More idiots have joined in on the "fun," and others are telling them how sick they are. I never even heard of this actor until he died, and I'm sure sitting through a Fast & Furious movie would be torturous for me, so it's not like I have some personal feelings about this guy. I just can't believe we have such sickos on this site.

handsomely. That isn't the point. Do we have compassion for people or do we not? I'll try and check it out from My Posts and find out for myself. Thanks for the heads up.

in that same thread for daring to say the OP was not "a decent human being". The alerter claimed I said the OP was inhuman, which is not what I said.

Oh well, I put that OP on ignore too and no longer have to see that piece of shit thread.

By way of disclaimer, I didn't even know who Paul Walker was and I have never seen a fast and furious movie but that OP was pure shit nonetheless.

and unless I made a mistake and wandered onto to some Right Wing moronic site, the standards here should be better than we might expect on one of those sites. If they continue to plummet and that disgusting thread ever becomes the standard here, people will find other venues to discuss politics. Fortunately for now, they are, thankfully, a small minority and you were very unlucky with that jury.

Thank you for your decency, it was well worth a hide to say what needed to be said.

if Fast and Furious 7 was still filming - I heard they started in August. Not sure how they're going to deal with his character now.

Most importantly though, it's really tragic to go so young. I'm thinking of his loved ones. May he RIP.

A quote from Walker's friend: "He lived his life and he died fast and furious today. He loved speed, he loved cars, and he had to die this way. He died in a very fast car with his friend."

That friend leaves a family, including an 8-year-old. They were going 100 mph. I'm just glad they didn't take out someone else.

This glorification of speeding in cars has real-life consequences, and they're not pretty. What a selfish act this "joyride" was, on so many levels.

Just like Michael Hastings speeding and running red lights. Extremely lucky no innocent bystanders were killed. People who have a fascination with speed should work it out at a racetrack.

Working on what is likely his last movie called BRiCK MANSIONS.
He seemed like a nice guy and our brief time together was relaxed and easy.
The fact that he was there for his charity makes it doubly worse...

But he was nice and the fact that he left behind a child, was only 40, and was at a charity event is just awful.
I work with actors all the time and trust me, they aren't all nice...
