that NKorea will implode.
This will lead to millions entering from the south trying to find lost relatives and land grabbers. Similar millions from China will flood in from the north to get land and a piece of the pie. Along with China militia to get the nuclear weapons.
The first signs I believe is China trying to exert control in the east China sea.
I concur!

(3,891 posts)Besides, predictions of North Korea's imminent collapse have been given when Kim Il Song was the Dictator, and every year thereafter. It was during Bush II that we heard that North Korea had to move because they only had enough supplies to sustain operations if they went and attacked the South now.
North Korea as a salvation? Doubtful. If it does go to war the critics and the news will blame President Obama for the lives lost. If it just collapses, then you have Russia and China that can get involved, they share a border with North Korea, and Russia has the means to bring salvation to the North Koreans, and would do so just to make the US look bad.
China, I don't see an economic collapse on their horizon either. It would take a world wide economic collapse to screw up China, and that would mean that we were running for re-election in a world wide depression. We'd be lucky to hold San Francisco as Democratic in that case. Again the party in charge, which would be the Democratic Party, would be blamed.
This post is part of the problem. Democrats are reduced to hoping that someone else screws up, or some awful thing happens, so we can use these external events to cement our position. That is not a political strategy. That is exactly the same as the Poor praying that they win the lottery. It is the symbol of a man/woman who has given up and no longer feels in control of their own fate.

On the rest of your post, I generally agree. The Dems need to get pro-active and positive. It's what carried Obama to the Presidency, and it would probably save the Senate majority and win us some significant gains in the House.
