If you haven’t visited the USA Shop link on the ‘How Americans Can Buy American’ website lately, you might be in for a pleasant surprise if you’re looking for exclusive American-made goods that are often found nowhere else.


Since the www.howtobuyamerican.com website wasn’t originally set up as a full-fledged e-commerce site, I usually only add what I think are unique products that are hard to find in the American-made variety.

Also in the USA Shop, I have begun to carry quality insoles from ENER-GEL, which is a company that was recently dropped from Walmart after 18 years, leaving the proud and small family business with an uncertain future. Despite Walmart’s recent ‘patriotic pledge’ to stock their shelves with an additional $50 billion of American-made merchandise, the huge retailer still seems bent on canning American-made companies that make things in the USA like ENER-GEL in favor of companies that import all of their goods from China like Dr. Scholl’s.
