Record Crowds Over Weekend, But Spending Declined

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/record-crowds-over-weekend-but-spending-declined

U.S. retailers offered holiday discounts in early November and opened stores on Thanksgiving Day to attract more shoppers. Those tactics drew bigger crowds, but they didn't motivate Americans to spend.

Maybe THIS slump in sales when they expected to make more money than ever will keep retailers from ruining Thanksgiving 2014 for their employees
