Unfortunately, a Google toolbar is required, but it'll provide a 100% free internet connection to anyone who needs it:

It isn't expected to be available until the first of April.

(10,340 posts)I don't think Google is doing this out of the kindness of their hearts.
Internet access should be for everyone, but it shouldn't come from corporations.

(29,674 posts)far too many posters are posting about one or two lines in the OP, refusing to follow the link.
I thought it was funny.

Then there's always someone to blow the whistle and imply that I'm an idiot because they've seen it before.
I'm getting away from the computer and goinging out to enjoy the sunshine.

Oh - that's how.

Installing a typical home TiSP system is a quick, easy and largely sanitary process -- provided you follow these step-by-step instructions very, very carefully.
#1 Remove the spindle of fiber-optic cable from your TiSP installation kit.
#2 Attach the sinker to the loose end of the cable, take one safe step backward and drop this weighted end into your toilet.
There are more steps - but due to copyright laws I had to cut it short.

(32,139 posts)Expect to see much, much more of this.
Obama's proposal for the internet ID is another extremely disturbing example. It is being promoted as merely an optional convenience, but the entire proposal is centered around blanketing the nation with it by making it financially impossible for companies NOT to require its use.
Occupy now. Get the damned money out of our political system.

(39,665 posts)You see, the OP is a gag that's potty related. Potties are sometimes "occupied."
Potties, when you flush them, go "whoosh." Just like the gag went over a few heads.
It's quite lovely when you consider the whole thing.

Nothing is free from corporate geeks.
We should be provided with affordable, high-speed net conections. It will provide edcational developement, many jobs, and a booming economy. I expect corporate interests to be dumb to the big picture.

Clue: April 1 is the roll-out date.
Umless you believe that internet practical jokes are part of the Obama Evil Agenda.

(6,670 posts)unfortunately, if Google really does it (which I don't expect, it being an April 1st thing), they may discover or interfere with OTHER private networks that have been installed in various places...
It's a better concept than the joke makes it out to be.
And the intimate connection between the Google Toolbar and the sewer makes it even funnier, in a way Google probably didn't anticipate.
