Ha! No I don't. Fuck her. I am looking forward to the day when you barley remember her. The best part of the movie was watching Tina Fey making fun of her. I didn't think I could watch it because her voice makes me want to stick skewers in both of my ears, but I made it thru.

(102,328 posts)the various Alaska blogs for that. She is a very shallow, callow, vindictive and insufferable woman. Sympathy? No... The very depicted aspects that made her seem sympathetic are largely untrue or "overly kind explanations for unpleasant truth" --as well.

(3,186 posts)If so, does anyone know of a way for those of us who don't have that channel to see the movie?
Thanks in advance.

(102,328 posts)You might luck out as I did--merely by finding a friend who might have DVR'd it or could do so on the replays. I was anxious enough to see this, that I had considered renting a hotel room--with HBO for the night as a little treat to myself. Fortunately, I found someone who would let me watch his recording.
I haven't had cable or satellite--really don't even have a tv-- for years, but I have found a way on those occasions I really want to see something. I look forward to the day when one can purchase online streaming of these shows al la carte' --without a cable/satellite subscription. But, I don't watch enough right now to justify ongoing access. I would not have a problem purchasing a single special program, however, if I could do so in near "real time".

Thought I'd mention that because I've seen a lot of folks posting the wrong info.

(3,186 posts)Well, I guess the only option now is to try to find someone who DVR'd it.
I appreciate everyone who has offered suggestions though.

(3,186 posts)I think it'd be great to have some type of al la carte option.
I do have cable but am not willing to pay for anything beyond *basic*. Out of the 22 chanels I get, I really only care about PBN's 'World' and Cspan 2 for their BookTV. The big 3 networks I may watch once in awhile for local and/or national news- but that is pretty much it. It's a shame to be paying for all of the other stuff- even at the lowest price possible.
Doubt anyone I know DVR'd, but I'll see what I can find out re: pay-per-view. I've never used that feature, but for this movie, I'll make an exception. Thanks for the suggestion!

(11,482 posts)and they have HBO in main house, I knew she wouldn't care so we went over and watched it last night.
Find someone you know who has it to make a copy or have you over!

(13,615 posts)be released on DVD. I'm thinking those HBO ones don't have a huge delay.
PotatoChip
(3,186 posts)If the pay-per-view thing doesn't work out, it's good to know that I may still see it on Netflix. Even if there is a bit of a wait.
Good catch. Thanks!!!
On edit: Bummer. I just realized that you said Netflix DVD. I don't have the DVD portion, just the streaming. But thanks anyway.

(1,435 posts)she should have said no, I'm not ready. I knew it, but they are giving McCAIN a pass on subjecting the country to victory over country. His slogan was country first, unbelievable.
That is the worst decision of the whole campaign.

It IS an awful lot to dump on someone, but I didn't find her to be a very sympathetic figure. I can hardly wait to see the movie.

(47,563 posts)...I've felt sorry for her since about the middle of the Katie Couric interview.
But, yeah...fuck her!!!

(2,672 posts)while we were watching the public side of things.......the lead up to the Couric interview....the aftermath of it........ Her apparant weight loss and what was going on around it......
As I watched the show I couldn't help but think during the first half of it, 'my goodness they are making her out to be a sympathetic character in this", she really appeared to be such a niave innocent (and yes, albeit profoundly stupid) of real public life and politics in general. But then after the debates, it was like someone flipped a light switch and psycho Sarah emerged. I don't know if it was really that abrupt in real life, but if it was, I 'm wondering if she didn't indeed have some kind of psychological break during the campaign. I know the make mention of this in the movie, but I think they were right, they were just looking for the wrong type of break.....plus the doctor they used was just an MD not psychologist/psychiatrist.
I did feel kind a sorry for the team having to deal with this dingbat and realizing just how screwed they were and still managing to surpress the "OMG HOW F--ING DUMB ARE YOU?!?!?"........they still held it together to promote her......(which I also condem them for).......professional, polite, civil .......
