General Discussion

I was recalling the "terrorist threat alert" during the never-to-be-forgotten Bush years. Sponsored by Homeland Security and in living colors. Even though it was propaganda to keep us very afraid, it was effective to a certain extent.
So, stay with me...what if the White House were to put out reports of ACA sign-ups, including Medicaid, of course? I think weekly would be the way to go with column headings:
State Week ending New enrollees Previous Increase %age
This would be valuable information for the administration as well as the general population, and just might sway the dug-in states to come over to the winning side. Would hopefully undermine the lies and boneheaded opinions that pass for FACTS.

(9,298 posts)FakeNews wouldn't report it or would claim the numbers are rigged. But I believe it would make the cut in mainstream media - both TV and print. States that have set up exchanges should be designated in some way to highlight their better numbers.

(9,298 posts)It's just heart-warming news that needs to get out there. On life's "list of priorties" shouldn't health come first for heaven sakes? All the money and possessions in the world don't matter if you don't have good health. And if you don't have much to begin with, well....poor health won't work in your favor either.

(9,298 posts)If David Gregory or all the other yucky talking heads don't mention huge sign-up numbers, people who appear on their shows (ohhh, let's just say Howard Dean or any other Dems with a spine)...they WILL. I really want to see obstructionists squirm when numbers are mentioned. Because numbers don't lie! Thanks!

(9,298 posts)but the states with exchanges are definitely doing better than the others, and the comparisons would be great publicity.
