Have Martin Bashir's comments stopped you from starting your own business?

As you know Martin Bashir made some comments on Sarah Palin's idiotic comments on race; he has apologized and been fired. Sarah Palin has responded to this situation by accepting his apology (now that he's fired) - but of course she made sure everybody knew who the real villain was.

"My role is to accept his apology and be humble enough to accept it and move on," Palin said during an appearance on "Fox & Friends."

"But I just hope that unprovoked attacks like that don't result in people being hesitant to jump in the arena anyway, to get out there and serve the public or start a business or really commit themselves to changing within their family, their community, their world, doing whatever that they can, despite the fact that in this world, you are gonna be hurt and attacks will come your way. I just hope an attack like that doesn't make people hesitate."

So I gotta ask - have you been affected by this?

I can get the public office part of the comment but the rest is pure idiocy.

6. what exactly was Palin's idiotic comment about race?

Because the (short) clip that Bashir showed really did not have anything to do with race, although Palin DID seem to understand that she would be attacked as racist for making the analogy.

7. She compared the national debt to slavery

“Our free stuff today is being paid for by taking money from our children and borrowing from China,” she said at the Iowa Faith & Freedom Coalition's fall fundraiser at the State Fairgrounds Saturday night. “When that money comes due – and this isn’t racist, but it’ll be like slavery when that note is due. We are going to beholden to the foreign master.”

Des Moines Register.

not seeing any statement about race there.

Especially since being in deep debt simply IS a type of slavery.
