For those of you over 70 . . .

Do you think you are too old to be President?

If you have medical help, meals prepared, clothing readied, speeches written for you, reminders from secretaries, people to lead the way in confusing situations and crowds, secret service near your side, and only have to rely on your judgment in economic and social matters, who to go to war for, who to make peace with....

I dunno. I think a lot of folks in GD could handle it if they know their minds and how they want to lead the country....

I like Biden and his ways and his personality and don't feel that his age should be held against him. A lot of people in their 90's are sharp, and I think his mother was one of them...

Even though I'm in good health, there are days I need to lay back. All nighters and crisis management drain me on the rare occasion they occur, let alone as part of the job. Sure I could be Ronnie or Georgie in bed by eight o'clock, letting others do the work, but then I would be a terrible President like they were. But that is me individually so you can't compare me to others who might still have the constitution of a thirty year old.

and every person that enters the office looks like they have aged 10 to 12 years for every 4 in office.

I think 70 (I'm mid fifties) is too old to be elected to a first term.

In fact, I think anyone over 60 is too old to be elected to a first term.

just my humble opinion.

President's (other than absentee ones like Reagan) work 14 hour days to maybe 16 hour days... and almost never (even when on vacation) get a DAY off.

Why any one wants to do this job is beyond me.

Personally, yes. I'm not in that good of health. And I'm defiantly not smart enough for the job even when I was younger.

I like Joe a lot. His age should not be held against him, imho. He's smart as a whip and in pretty darn good health as far as I can tell. Plus I like that he's young at heart and never misses a beat. Look how he took on that youngster Paul Ryan. Cracked me up!

edit to add: I'm not quite 70 yet. Whoosh, that part of your OP went right over my head.
