Jameis Winston's attorney needs to STFU!

A reporter asked him why the woman would subject herself to a rape kit and the rest.
That jackass said well it could have been regret or did not like what had occurred.

I still don't know what happened. I do know that women don't usually go through all of the procedures because it is humiliating and opens them up to a lot of abuse especially if a football player is involved.

I think he isn't helping Winston or himself.

He also said she is not a victim but an accuser. The TPD effed this up so bad that a lot of info was lost because of time. He is now saying she might be prosecuted for false reporting.

1. He is getting raked over the coals for his comments.

Several people on ESPN hammered him for being so casual and glib.
He kept dumping on the woman, but that didn't make him or Winston look any better.

Just make a basic statement and then take the high road.

Winston is innocent. That is telling. I don't think we will ever know the truth. It's hard to figure out what happened in these situations and waiting a year really hurt.

8. To be clear, she didn't wait a year...she reported right away...

They decided to ignore it because allegedly they were pressured not to pursue...either that or they didn't take it seriously from the get-go...

On edit, I see that you're saying Meggs, not the lawyer...however, he did a shitty job or someone below did a shitty job from the get-go...not sure when the hand-off took place.

since feb, which is when the tpd claims the victim said she no longer wanted to proceed.

I am still wondering what "time constraints" meegs meant in terms of needing to end the investigation.

the investigation is going forward because no one has contacted her, and they just decide to settle...wonder if she was thinking that happened...in the meantime, the powers that be get to the prosecutors, da, and they ignore it, and she finds out because it's suddenly news because now he's famous...and she says, WTF?

6. meegs said no charges were being filed against ANYBODY. would think that would include the victim.

jensen, you already look like scum--trying to bring charges against the victim will only make you and your footballer client look even scummier.
