Church sign: Christmas 'easier to spell than Hanukkah'

A Florida pastor's attempt at holiday humor didn't go over well with some in his community.

During the weekend, Mike Butzberger of Lighthouse Church in North Palm Beach put up a sign that said "Christmas - Easier to Spell Than Hanukkah." People started calling to question the intent, and some said they were offended.

"It was not in any way, shape or form meant to be offensive or disparaging or mean-spirited," Butzberger told the Palm Beach Post. "And it's sad to me there are people that are so humorless that they would be offended."

On Sunday night, Butzberger changed the message on the sign to "Jesus Loves You."

He probably thought it was cute, but should have left it alone afterwards.

"it's sad to me there are people that are so humorless that they would be offended" as this asshole was when he tried to make it yet another example of, "oh noes, we christers are being persecuted!"
