Who will run in 2016?

I think Obama will win this election but it won't be a blowout because the country is still split. I think he'll win by 1 or 2%. I've been wondering who will be the nominees for 2016. Jeb Bush will probably be the Repuke nominee but what about the Democrats. Will Hillary come back and run? She'll be 69 in 2016. Al Gore? Wesley Clark?

Doubt it, as he'll be 71. Some good Dems moving on up, like Attorneys General Biden, Kamala Harris, Schneiderman, and Senator Gillibrand and likely Senator Eliz. Warren, for just a few.

As to 2012, I suspect the apparent current split will narrow as apparent repub insanity will predominate and 'kill' them.

will say it again) I HATE Schweitzer's stance on "clean coal".

He could win the hearts of lots of people, I think -- both Dems and Republicans. He's such a kick-ass Governor, I think he would appeal to a wide range. I don't think he'd want to give up Montana for DC, though.

Maybe also Kristin Gillibrand and Deval Patrick

They can't even stand the House Speaker, and he's very similar to Jeb Bush. Expect it to be Rand Paul on their side.

Ohio is still a state that matters to both parties and Sherrod would bring midwestern populism back into the national political debate...

That's well within the election fraud abilities of the Republicans. It needs to be by more than they can cheat.

Are four Democrats who come to mind whenever I think of 2016.

As for Obama's re-election, he's either matching or improving on his numbers from 2008. Meanwhile, Romney's favorability numbers are in the territory of 28%, which are simply atrocious.

I see Obama winning 2012 by an equal or greater margin than he did in 2008, especially now due to the GOP's war on women.

He said that in January President Obama declared himself king.
Kings just don't step down after 4 years, ya know.
So, get used to it now.
The future is here today, all hail King Obama.

Or else he'll use a drone on ya!!

I would add Hillary to the list. By resigning as Secretary of State, she wants to stand clear of the Obama Administration when the shit really hits the fan for the next four years. We have a lot of problems with the Middle East that have simply put themselves on hold for the last few years, those eggs are about to hatch.

The sad truth is that if you have a long record it ends up being used against you. Hillary isn't a likely candidate and neither is Gore. Clark could run but he has no credibility on fiscal issues and even 4 years from now the economy will still be a deciding factor for many voters.
