WTF? California has twice as many hate groups as Texas?

I like to stay current on the hate group reality in Texas. SPLC is the "Go To" resource for acknowledged hate groups of all genres.
Imagine my surprise when I saw California leading Texas almost 2:1 in hate groups (84-49).
Are we just hiding it better in Texas now?We used to lead the nation.

out here. You can find a hate group just about anywhere.

When the initial Prop H8 decision was announced, I attended a rally in Santa Ana. Was really shocked to see the rabid religious rong was organized. But then Orange County is the birthplace of John Birch Society, TBN and way too many mega churches.

I am so naive, sometimes. Like I said,I have SEEN the Klan here in Central Texas. I had this fantasy that California was above that. Reality is a cruel teacher.

So they could be classified as hate groups, but I'm not sure that's accurate. I mean Bloods or Crips might have racist components, but their goal isn't to target people of a different race, but to make money, gangs are illegal business, like the Mafia except except not as sophisticated. The KKK or Aryan Nations aren't trying to make a profit, but to spread their message of hate.

plates on our car. When we came back to California to visit family, we had White Supremacist types approaching us in parking lots because we had Idaho plates. I've got to say that we were both shocked at how many of them there were and frankly how much more rabid they were than the Idaho versions. California is only liberal on the coasts and in the major population centers. The rest of it is pretty rural and conservative.

much and so broadly that the SPLC has trouble categorizing your specific hatred focus.

Maybe "General Hate" should be the term for teabaggers who want a Christian, straight, native-born, white nation.

Teabaggers is a homophobic derogatory label used by anti-gay haters like pampango. You should know a hater when you see one Pampango, you are the hater.

Democratic Underground promotes free speech, your hatred and fear of free speech is frightening.
