I'm concerned about some history I DO NOT WANT REPEATED

Our President has made some remarkably wise and peaceful policy decisions lately. The Iran negotiations seem to indicate diplomacy will be used instead of shock and awe.

Obama's pallin' around with Castro's brother today.

And he recently spoke forcefully about American economic inequality.

Amongst many other things I can't think of right now.

Will the POWERS THAT BE/OLIGARCHS that control our MILITARY INDUSTRIAL CONGRESSIONAL SURVEILLANCE SECURITY COMPLEX be happy with things turning in these progressive and peaceful directions? Would this burst of compassion and refocus on the most noble goals of this nation actually be allowed to stand?

The historical analog I'm worried about is the conjecture that JFK pissed off the Pentagon, the CIA, and other old money government institutions that may really be running most things. Which led to his assassination.

So is Obama risking his life more than usual with all this, or are the PTB's on board with the direction he's moving things?

They're certainly capable, especially since they've gotten away with it so many times.

I certainly hope we can lift the Embargo.

Personally, I'd love to go there.

Politically, I think the grandsons/daughters will love visiting their home-country and this might shift the Cubano vote our way.
