Just watched Kerry on CSpan3

He was testifying to Congress about the Iran agreement. LIVE

I think he was great...no loss of cool, no temper, corrections politely made when needed, and he hung tough. Very courteous, diplomatic, but tough.

When I listened to every word, I realized that he knows HOW TO LISTEN and that will be the key to his success, and he was prepared to discuss any angle they brought up.

I love that man.................

2. That is to his credit, given the outrageous nature of some of the questions.

I missed the beginning of the hearing, but Matt Salmon and the latest congresspeople were way beyond stupid. Other were just their usual warmongers, but I thought those two were going to get hell from him, but he just talked to them like he would to kids, patiently.

4. He was extremely polite to all - and even avoided obvious ways to cut them down to size

- which would not have helped in the long run. He even ignored the stupid comment from the chair that "none of the other countries in the region had nuclear capabilities -- I guess forgetting Iran shares a border with Pakistan.

I was amazed at his patience and his ability to answer the same thing so many times without anger. He did make Rep Ros- Lehtinen look ridiculous when he defended Obama shaking hands with Castro.

I may have been unhappy with some of the things that were done in his 2004 run, but he is exceptional as SoS. It was meant to be this way.
