Family of FSU QB Jameis Winston's accuser is going public on Friday
The family of Jameis Winstons accuser will hold a press conference Friday in Florida, according to an email sent out to the media.
It will be the first media conference the family has held since the story went public last month and the first words from the family of the accuser since the very generic statement it released following the announcement that Winston wouldnt be charged.
On Dec. 5, Florida State Attorney Willie Meggs announced that he did not find enough evidence to charge Winston with a crime. Meggs noted that the accusers statements were not consistent and that he didnt feel like she would have been a credible witness had the case gone to trial.
While the nature of Fridays press conference was not specified in the email, the family of the accuser does have several avenues of legal recourse even though Winston was not formally charged by the Florida States Attorneys office.

The accuser can still appeal to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to re-evaluate the case. Or the accuser can go right to a civil case against Winston, FSU, and the Tallahassee Police Dept.
Either way, legal troubles may not be completely over for Mr. Winston. The accuser has until December 7, 2016 to file a civil case.
Winston is widely expected to be awarded the Heisman trophy on Saturday.
