George Zimmerman is selling his original artwork on eBay

SANFORD --

It appears George Zimmerman has turned to painting, and is selling his own, original artwork on eBay not one week after prosecutors dropped domestic violence charges against him.

The canvas painting appeared on the auction website Monday. A picture of the artwork shows a U.S. flag painted only in various shades of blue, with the words "God, One Nation, with Liberty and Justice for All," stamped in white letters on the flag's darker blue stripes.

Zimmerman's brother, Robert Zimmerman Jr., has confirmed the auction is real, and said the painting is, indeed, the work of his brother, who was acquitted of murder in July for the 2012 shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford.

The painting's seller is listed under the user "therealgeorgez." The auction page included the following description:

The price is at $1225 at this time with four days remaining. It will probably go
a lot higher considering he is a folk hero to many of the mouth breather types.

You are bidding on an original, artist signed spray painting of Abe Lincoln holding a sign by street artist Blight. Painting is titled "Question for George Zimmerman". Signature is on the back. Painting measures 20" tall and 16" wide and is on stretched canvas. This painting will make a terrific conversation piece. Remember that this is an original painting, NOT a print or one of those cheap prints on canvas that you see at super stores. The artist created this piece with his own hands.

About the artist: Blight is an active street artist in the United States and has made a habit of leaving paintings on canvas for others to find. His pieces have sold for hundreds of dollars, and the value of his work is growing at an alarming rate. The artist has paintings on at least 4 continents, 12 countries, and 25 states. Blight has degrees in art and psychology, and uses a variety of mediums to create amusing pieces such as this one, and to convey political ideas and address social issues.

COA included with owner tracking. In addition, I am Blight's manager, and authenticity will be confirmed for any buyers who wish to sell one of these paintings in the future.

you develop a cynical eye. For example, people who should become allies in a fight against a corrupt local government suddenly get distant. And then you find out later that something extraordinary has occurred in their lives. Either the city bestowed their business with the status of an historical building, or they or their kids suddenly get a job in a real estate firm, or they get a cushy job in the school system or in the city. The connections, you see, is what changed. Suddenly they have options that aren't ordinarily available to people off the street.
