Merry Christmas
I say Merry Christmas in the tradition of my family - it is simply what I know. I do not follow any particular religious or spiritual practice, I am not a member of any church. Yet, for me, it is a time of great generosity without expectation. It is a time when peoples of so many religions, so many different lands and cultures might come together and celebrate in their own way - with the giving of gifts, the practice of worship or prayer, or simply the joy of the company of loved ones. It is a time when so many people on this great big world of ours forget, for a little while, the things that trouble them.
In the spirit of Christmas - and from my own heart... may all of your sorrows become troubles of yesterday, and may all of your tomorrows be filled with friendship, happiness, contentment, and love. Merry Christmas to you all. It is my devout hope that we might all know a better year, more filled with hope, forgiveness, kindness and love than those that have gone before. As I am not religious or spiritual, I will not say "God Bless us everyone", yet, on this particular day, I find myself thinking it, for which I beg your pardon.
Everyone... have a wonderful day and a wonderful new year.
