The GOP boldness on every issue like contraception, ending unions, war on women, war of religion, war on workers, war on children, war on the safety net, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, healthcare, etc is really unprecedented. Make you wonder what they are up to.
With all the initiatives that they are coming up with in the states they control any person with one brain cell can see what they have in store for the nation if they get the control they want. They are the terrorists. We have less to worry about the foreign ones than we do the republicans.

For example, I never really got a handle on what PNAC was all about. But it looked like a plan for the US or rather "multi-national" corporations to achieve something similar to the British and French empires, creating a small owner class to receive profits. I say this simply because of the need for new sources of depleted resources and control of these; sources that have "free market" (it's mine) ownership. If the US does not make things friendly, there is always some other center of activity but, darn, that US Armed Forces is a good thing to have.
I'll stop because I admit I am just speculating and I am sad that it looks like the people of this country are tired of the Great American Experiment because (fill in the rest; I would only offend if I did it).

This needs to be our united message. What kind of future do you want for your country? The answer to that question will determine our future for generations to come.
I really think we're at a crossroads and if we don't take the correct path it may not be possible to find our way back to a sane course.

(33,688 posts)is the endgame. A few at the top with almost all the wealth in society, another 1-2% as their necessary retainers, and the rest of the populace living in a theocratically controlled, ruthlessly policed economic squalor that would make Dickens' London look like a holiday daycamp. That is and always has been the endgame of TPTB.
