Having personally known a few elected officials, I find these traits true

First I will say I have not known many republican or conservative officials. That should be easily reasoned why, eh?

None of the elected officials were the boisterous, big-man types. And in my casual observations have not seen too many of those except for some republicans and conservatives.

The ones I have known, because they do tend to be similar in mindset to moi, are those who favor government making progress and inclusive of all their constituents fairly equally.

Needless to say, they also were fairly Liberal, tho not nearly as liberal as I.

Of the best I have seen, one is a Woman, and the other a Man. Both were derided and faulted in the press for their actions and votes. Both just let that be as water off their backs. Both were quite successful and popular with reasoned and aware voters.

The Woman official, was, for the longest time, my favorite politician. As a Woman, her presence in office had me to take notice of how few Women were elected officials. And made me wonder: If America had more Women in office, would the US be a better place overall? I came to the conclusion it would.

Ok, so what am I getting at? In my lifetime, many good changes have taken place. The biggest reason for that, imo, is that the US, is now being influenced more and more by Women's voices being heard in city halls all the way to DC, from sea to shining sea.
