Of crappy illegal and violent things men do to women, and vice versa. It'll be like cable TV!!!

Let's pretend there's an epidemic of violence against men that isn't caused primarily, by other men.

Of stories about men in GD..one has to be very selective not to find them. .

Surely you don't believe that if a man stabbed a woman with a squirrel it wouldn't make DU?

banksters -usually men, weird news is chock full of goofy things men have done. Those knock out game stories - black men. September 11 - men, mass shootings - men. How in the hell can people get upset about 4 or so stories about women doing crappy things.

There have been so many stories in GD about rape that I was getting freaked and had to trashcan 'rape'. There also have been a fair amount of stories about domestic violence involving men beating women.

I don't know what the hell is going on here. But when it comes down to people telling other people what kind of stories they can post where - it's out of control.

This bullshit about ALL men are ___ , and ALL women are ___ has to stop.

A news story about a guy robbing a store doesn't make ALL men thieves. Just as a story about a man beating on a woman doesn't make ALL men abusers. A news story about a woman that obviously needs rehab, clunking her husband with a ceramic squirrel doesn't make ALL women violent drunks. If people here can't understand this, then ....

where attention paid to one gender is attention not paid to the other and therefore oddly suspect. Making it even more awkward is the fact that the stereotyping of men and women isn't even vaguely symmetrical.

There is a site search engine at the top right of DU pages. Using it will get these 2 threads
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10024239190
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1018542390

BTW what is the point of posting this in GD? Crimes of this nature are far from unusual and the only highlight, the method, would render it more suitable for the Weird News forum.

Please note that some persons have been posting threads like this as flame bait.

I won't give you the satisfaction.

You seem to believe that you have a duty to post non-sequitur in response to others, why I do not know.

Of course it could be that there is a small and dedicated band disruptors who are intent on keeping DU from talking about obvious inequities.

BTW you might like to tell juror 1 that the above is the perhaps only the second alert I have completed in the past 3 months and the first against you for over a year, so I am not exactly alert stalking.

A proportionate amount of stories (to give any balance ) without spamming this board with so very many sad stories of "men gone bad" that would get alerted on for being not worthy of GD. But somehow it's just grand GD has followed cable news into the toilet with sensationalist crap about women. And, technically that is more allowable - because it's "news"- or rare.
