They did put a big tax on the upper rich. However, most rich people don't have a job like that so all the money is protected. I don't think you will see a big departure at all. That is why when people want the upper rich in America to be taxed more, I always wonder how? They mostly get paid by stock shares (even their bonus'). Now what we need to do is tax the businesses….that is what we should be fighting for.

IIRC Gerard Depardieu proactively went to Russia to avoid the tax hike.

Our government is seen as unstable and our health care is still a disaster, with for-profit insurance companies still largely running the show, unaccountable to anyone.
