I found a damaged drone in my back yard.

After prying it open, I extracted an 8 gb SD chip and put it into my SD reader USB adapter. The most recent image was of my naked, wrinkled, saggy ass as I was standing in my bedroom. Apparently that caused the drone to go out of control and crash.

My question: What should I set the Buy It Now price for it on eBay?

If the video was just being recorded, the drone probably decided to crash itself. If it was a live feed, somewhere there is a drone pilot who is either rolling on the floor yelling "My eyes! My eyes!", or rocking catatonically in his chair, muttering "What has been seen cannot be unseen..."

I saw a program on TV that showed a couple of small, bird-sized drones flying in close formation with no direct human controls.

I suppose they could also be programmed to self-immolate if their sensors picked up something too unspeakably horrible to record or transmit.

And I'm not the only member of this exclusive club, some who have since changed their screen names.

I'd like to be a member of the DU tattoo club too, but needles frighten me. I'm the only not-tattooed among my many siblings.

Any non-sentient electronics that land in my backyard are mine to do with as I please. (The sentients I repair and set free, same as birds.)

When I was a kid I found weather balloon transmitter belonging to the U.S. Navy. I returned it to them, postage prepaid, but not before I'd opened it up and figured it out. Battery, barometer, thermometer, transmitter, foil-and-cardboard radar reflector. Not much. They could afford to lose them. Maybe I should have kept it.

If I was less honest and a lot meaner I'd probably be wealthy or at least affluent. But it wouldn't be worth my soul.

I heard, VA, NY, TX and a few others were slated for that.

Interesting question. I would probably check ebay for drones, and then set it to that.

However, if you try to sell it as a "Genuine Limited Edition NSA Spy Drone", you may be able to get more.
Set it at $250 auto and a minimum of $75 starting bid.

Good luck!

Tue Dec 31, 2013, 11:09 AM

You know, they're watching the entire Internet, so that might be a risky move. I'm thinking, though, that I can just include a photo that shows the "PROPERTY OF NSA - FREE POSTAGE PAID RETURN" text on it. I don't think they're spying on text within photos. But, I could be wrong.

I will, of course, include the photo of my saggy, wrinkled ass in the description on eBay. I'm thinking that will enhance its value enormously, as long as eBay doesn't pull the listing for images that require brain bleach after viewing.

Another question: Can I ship this via USPS Media Mail?

The picture? You can ship by creating a fake email account, in a password protected zip file.
Call it, sagtasticDec2013.zip

If you actually want to make a physical thing of it, like that , sure USPS Media Mail works well.

Ebay might not pull the image, but broadcast it out there, like that bottoms-less girl who showed far more than the item she was selling due to an ill placed mirror.
