A friend posted this on Facebook. I'm not sure how to take this.

Turner Radio Network (TRN) has issued a report regarding Fukushima Diachi Nuclear Plant that is expected to affect the entire Northern Hemisphere.
According to the report: Persons residing on the west coast of North America should IMMEDIATELY begin preparing for another possible onslaught of dangerous atmospheric radiation from the Fukushima nuclear disaster site in Japan.
On edit: There may be some credibility issues here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hal_Turner

You have to get it translated to English via something like bing, but you will see that everyone who is shooting the messenger are really just afraid of the message.
Message at the Tepco link is this: Reactor #3, which is supposed to be cold, is not cold and steam is rising from the bowels of the reactor which blew up on March 11, 2011. Which could mean that it may be about to blow up again. Of course Tepco doesn't say that, Tepco says it is cold.

(21,675 posts)Some of the recommendations to mitigate damaging effect of radiation exposure include:
Keep up-to-date on developments via the Internet
Buy Duct tape, masking tape and self-adhesive weather stripping
Cover windows and doors with plastic
Cover electrical outlets and light switches with plastic
Cover vents in bathrooms and stoves with plastic
Purchase a NIOSH N100-certified filter mask for each member of the family
Purchase disposable TYVEK suit for going outside
Wash obsessively

(13,685 posts)But this is the link he gets the Truth from. It is a link that you have to translate from Japanese (Guess Tepco is so broke that can't afford too many English pages?) but it tells the Truth that Steam is emitting from the reactor which is supposed to be cold.

Anyway, the nut job turner does tell folks what they should do should they have to shelter in place should there be any more explosions.
On this DU thread is a debate about what one does have to put up with from Fukushima fallout:

(13,685 posts)Reactor #3 is the one that blew up with a huge mushroom cloud type of explosion signature.
Recently, for about 5 days running, it has been belching steam, unlike we have seen in a long time.
The core of the reactor is thought to have melted through all containment, but it is not known exactly where the core is because no one, not even robots or cameras can get anywhere close because it is so damn hot.

(8,155 posts)Hal Turner is not a reliable source.
RobertEarl
(13,685 posts)Tepco is said to have admitted that #3 has been releasing steam.

You calling me a liar? Be careful, sport. You know I know my stuff.
I saw the steam on the camera.
And enenews is a reliable source. Your saying it is not just shows ignorance, meaning you are ignoring or you haven't even bothered to read enenews.com
From enenews is the link on the front page. In that story linked from there, you would find, if you even bothered to look, is this link from Tepco itself.
http://www.tepco.co.jp/nu-news/2013/1233248_5304.html
(Accept no other links!!! This is the true link!!)
Now, unfortunately, the Tepco link is in Japanese. Why the heck can't Tepco give an English page? Talk about not reliable!!!
So, take the link to bing translate and see what Tepco says in English. Clue: Admission that steam is coming from #3 for several days.
You would think that as much as you post about Fukushima that you would not be so ignorant about Fukushima. But here you are, read the Tepco link and we'll talk.

(68,644 posts)There's a difference.
ENEnews presents itself as having to do with energy, energy science, sources, etc., when, in fact, it's only about causing concern over nuclear power.
I'm not saying it makes things up, I'm just saying it has an agenda and it misrepresents itself.
Here's a link to tepco's English language page.

(13,685 posts)Why did you post such an erroneous link?!?!?!
Enenews.com is pretty much the same as DU as far as advocacy goes. Only enenews.com is not populated for very long with pro-nukes.
RobertEarl
(13,685 posts)Enenews is just an aggregate of news articles.
And commentary.
I guess what they post is something that makes you feel bad, so you have to attack it (the messenger)? You do know some people say the same shit about DU, right?
