Emails expose Christie lies reGWB

Last week Chris Christie assured reporters that none of his appointees to the Port Authority were notified about a dangerous situation involving lane closures on the George Washington Bridge. Subsequently the Mayor of Fort Lee contradicted Christie and emphasized that many calls were placed to Port Authority officials notifying them about traffic jams related to the closure. Now the Bergen Record has obtained emails which show that lower level Port Authority officials were aware of hazards created by traffic jams and did advise PA executives including Christie's political operatives, Bill Baroni and David Wildstein. These hazards included delayed responses to emergency calls which involved a missing child and a case of cardiac arrest.

he is very, very dangerous.....

I have no doubts he plans to run for President in 2016. He had his stomach stapled so he could eventually get down to a "marketable" weight. He is now head of the National Governor's Association which gives him a national stage.

He was re-elected in a very blue state with significant majorities in many core Democratic constituencies including women, Latinos and Blacks.

He has a certain political charisma. Despite my differences with Reagan he had a certain political attraction. He made people feel comfortable. Clinton, a great communicator, may have come close. GWB had no personality appeal at all. Obama, despite his intelligence, is a low-key "no drama" kind of guy.

I fear the American people may be looking for a "personality" in their next president. He talks "centrist" but his policies are far from that. Consider his track record on not improving the economy in New Jersey, his flagrant hatred for public worker unions, his failure to fund education, etc.

He is not a centrist. He is as bad as the rest of them. Beware and be afraid, very afraid.

on camera at public events, I can only imagine the enemies he's cultivated behind closed doors. His campaign will be an absolutely entertaining train wreck. Hope they save the good stuff until after he gets the nomination.

Now, this is more than just a massive pain in the ass inconvenience. If somebody had died, it would have been HORRIBLE!

I am appalled!

11. This stunt is going to hurt Christie if he is the GOP nominee

This stunt may help him in the GOP primaries but the pattern of Christie being a bully will be a good theme in a general election. The Obama campaign painted Romney as being rich and out of touch early on in the 2012 campaign and that theme worked

And I'm delighted that he's been found out so "quickly" -- it's like getting an extra Christmas present!
