This is a totally cool 3-d/360 degree tour of the flight deck as well as the rest of the craft, including the payload bay, lower deck, main engine area and underside. Look for the little blue circles with arrows in them to take you through to another level or doorway. You can pan and tilt using your mouse as well as zoom in or out.
Really frickin cool! I could spend hours looking her over!

Check out the "White Room" and all the signatures on the wall of people who have worked on the program and passed through this room. This was all done while the craft was in one of the 3 Orbiter Processing Buildings (# 2, specifically) Wander out the White Room door and then down stairs to the Front Desk.
I find this sort of thing utterly fascinating.
Enjoy!

(24,368 posts)The overhead panels are, sorry to use the word again, fascinating. If that sort of thing interests you, I recommend looking at photos of the last of the great prop engined bombers, like the B-36. Here's a similar panorama of a B-36 that opens at the Flight Engineers position.

That enough dials for ya? LOL
As a side, they pulled those orbiters into the processing building with a airliner style tug, and I read somewhere that they would position them within 1/8th of an inch of centerline.
