Now that's cold!

Last edited Fri Jan 3, 2014, 10:00 AM - Edit history (1)

It's -6F degrees with -17F wind chill here in our little slice of mid-west Ohio. The furnace hasn't stopped running all night.

We have about 6 in. of snow from yesterday. Supposed to warm up for a couple of days then the bottom drops out. -8 for the high on Monday??? I'm glad that we don't have to go anywhere next week. The wife is getting out tomorrow or
Sunday to get kitty food if the car isn't to frozen in.

Just read on FB that my Sis-in-Law almost got hit yesterday by a semi while on her way home from work because of the ice under the snow that caused the semi to jack-knife. Missed her by inches she said.

Everybody involved with this cold and storms happening up the east coast stay safe and warm.

Don't forget your fur babies too.

We are assuming school will be cancelled on Monday as there is a forecast of a HIGH of -13F with -40 to -50F windchills. Just walking the dog this morning the skin on my face was stinging after only 5 minutes and that was with a scarf!

I walked my daughter to her bus stop and omg, on the way back I thought my face was going to fall off. Even though I had a scarf partially covering my face, I had to hold my mitts up to my face to stop the stinging and to be able to keep my eyes open. It was so painful! I have lived further north than I am right now where we used to get -40 all the time but there was never any wind - I preferred that to anything with wind.
