Maine Rethug claims conviction for beating his wife shows his integrity

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/maine-senate-gop-challenger-domestic-violence-conviction-shows-integrity

"The fact that I have been jailed repeatedly for not agreeing to admit to something I didn’t do should speak to the fact of how much guts and integrity I have," Bennett said. "I've noticed some people questioning that."

In 2003 Bennett was convicted of attacking his then-wife. A district court convicted him of Class D Assault. Bennett fought the conviction but in 2004 a Maine Supreme Judicial Court ruled that the lower court "sufficient evidence does exist in the record to support his conviction," according to the Bangor Daily News. At the press conference Bennett stressed his innocence.

Bennett went on to say that that his time in jail demonstrates how much character he has.

he's running against Susan Collins.

3. As a general rule, convicted wife beaters should stay out of the public spotlight.

Then again, an even more important rule is to avoid violence against one's intimate partner, so this guy's obviously got more than a few wires crossed.

pernicious than in heterosexual ones, so that would be true as well. Edited to make it less heteronormative.

9. I recall just before the 2010 elections there was a list of bagger wife beaters put out.

Also swindlers, and other miscreants. At the same time, I was begging Democrats to turn out to defeat them. Guess what?

Some Democrats didn't care about that, so they stayed home. And the baggers elected them anyway. For sure, this will garner plenty of votes this time, too.

It's part of both sides wantting to to their 'stick it to the man' routine being against big government, and for the baggers, a way of sticking it to uppity wimen.

The same ones posting pictures of Obama with a rope around his neck posted pictures of women with black eyes and memes on them saying it was the right thing to do to shut them up if they talked back.

That's the bagger voter in a nutshell. I hope enough liberals vote to eliminate this guy and Collins, too.

If the GOP continues to elect Taliban members we will find soon more and more Sharia laws. If he had any integrity he would own his actions, you can't change what you do not acknowledge.
