that is a spin off. the original, which I have book marked had no hyphens. Even the people involved have said this. I know I am being adamant about it, but the people behind this have also been adamant about getting the truth out.

"Social engineering" is actually a misuse of the term but hackers (white hat and black hat both) apply the term when they mean gaining access by using people's foibles and predilections. The goat army gained access by tricking the page's admin into sharing the password.

It was an access that the page's admin never intended. The admin never intended to have the page commandeered in such a way and to get locked out himself. That makes it some kind of a hack (in the black hat sense even though from our point of view the goats are wearing white hats).

Note about vocabulary: the word "hack" itself has become clouded because originally it got its roots from "hack newspaper reporters" who would just quickly pound out an article without much regard to the facts. From there it went to programming where coders would hammer out software quickly without much regard to the fundamentals of computer science or engineering principles. That was the fore-runner of "agile programming", but the same "quick-and-dirty" attitude became applied to cracking into computer security. For a long time "hacking" was good (produced working code) and "cracking" was bad (taking over computer systems illegally). Now it is all blurred somewhat.

Let's never forget: according to the reichwing, they are perfectly privileged to put up pics of the president being lynched but people like us are evil for removing them - or even objecting. They have free speech rights, don'tcha know?

I hope that the Secret Service pays them a visit and they all have a productive interview.
