(3,184 posts)We need signatures on the Whitehouse petition, even as the Senate voted to continue discussion yesterday. We need them to know this is a major issue for the families cut off and facing complete ruin.
Everyone knows it is harder to find a new job the longer one is out of work. Everyone knows that people over 50 have a harder time finding new positions after being laid off from senior positions. I even read somewhere on DU last year that 50% of people taking new jobs after long-term unemployment do so at a substantial decrease in pay, further decimating their retirement plans.
What does it take to get this petition signed?
