I mean, think about it. Despite his popularity, the GOP has had deep misgivings about Christie - mostly stemming from the way he was willing to act all buddy-buddy with President Obama when his constituents in New Jersey needed federal aid after Sandy hit.
Well, with Trafficgate, he's put all of that behind him, and assuaged the fears of Republicans. He's proven that he's willing to harm the economy, harm the public, and even let people suffer and die, just to cause trouble for a Democratic opponent.
In other words, he's proven that he's down with the agenda of the modern GOP. I say he's a shoe-in for the nomination.
