Georgia DUers check in please

Severe weather and tornado warnings all morning. We've had some severe weather here in NE Georgia, lost power for about an hour, high winds, rain sideways, intense lightening and rolling thunder.

There's a teenager trapped in a county nearby inside a mobile home under a tree which fell on the home.

Lots of downed trees.

Some pretty intense thunder and lightning

Tornado watch until 3PM

Danger of flash floods in some areas

It's not boring.

Take care - my Mom is in NE GA; I'll be in touch with her soon.

is insane. We've had a couple of little spurts of thunder & heavy rain but it's 65. A few days ago it was 20...

You guys stay safe.

Rain and thunder only so far. This is the final wave, I hope. They're predicting a sunny, warm afternoon.

The ground is still frozen from the frigid temps earlier in the week, so rain is running off and ponding. Be careful if you have to get out and watch for standing water.

1.61 inches of rain since midnight, 52 degrees, lots of thunder earlier, quiet now. During our ten year stay in Southwest New Mexico what I missed most was soft Georgia rain. That and spring.
