(8,175 posts)he dances through everything. He has the soul of a dancer. He was magnificent and one of the few skaters who really steps outside of the box and makes it special.

I used to figure skate a lot just for fun. It was my sport. This pleases me very much. Thank you for posting this.

(16,327 posts)love it. Too many skaters are focused on the big jumps and let the pure elegance o ice skating be the weak element. He may not have a quad or a bunch of triple triples, but he is magical on ice. I enjoyed his performance and look forward to seeing how he develops in the coming years.

(71 posts)I was soooo happy when Jason finished 2nd and made the Olympic team. His skating is marvelous and he seems like such a sweet, humble kid. People who tune in once every four years for the Olympics are going to get a real treat when they see him for the first time. A medal isn't in the cards this Olympics (unless several guys who have quads crash and burn in the short program), but in four years watch out!

(9,535 posts)Some of her friends went on to be champions - winning US titles, and a couple made it all the way to the Olympics. Her best was making it to junior nationals one year in pair skating. One year we went to US Nationals and saw all the famous skaters up close - they are truly amazing!

(5,477 posts)I like to see more speed, power, and explosions in jumps. Unfortunately, as Michele Kwan sadly found out, you can't really improve jumping ability.
