I fucking hate political "pro-lifers" with the fury and heat of a billion supernovae...

NOTE: I say political "pro-lifers" as in people who claim to be pro-life but do everything in their power to be anti-woman. Personal pro-lifers, as in those who wouldn't have an abortion, but don't vote based on that personal belief, I have no problem with, because they aren't responsible for the shit I just read.

The shit I just read:

http://www.texasobserver.org/cover-story/the-right-not-to-know

Now, 3 things stand out for me, the first is that this woman went through hell, and it was compounded by the backward assed law that the State of Texas passed and enacted. Second, NO doctor should have to say "Sorry but I'm required by the law to do this..." to a patient. They aren't saying they are required to do it due to thier medical ethics, or medical necessity, or even so they won't be sued, no they are saying it because some ignorant jackasses in a state legislature think they know better than fucking doctors, people who go to school for years to know this shit. Oh, and third, why the fuck should it matter if its a Catholic hospital she was at that doesn't perform what is a necessary medical procedure. If they don't want to perform abortions, fuck them, they shouldn't be in the medical field at all.

What the fuck is wrong with this picture?

I fucking hate these backwards thinking, misogynistic, vagina controlling fuckwads and their god-bothering beliefs, fuck them, and those who support them.

I won't be alive, but the people who are will face some very tough issues.

In my opinion, this will bring about the end of religion. This pro-life and population increase will meet one day and the people will turn from religion. That is how it has to be.

But yes, scarce resources exist today. For people to even suggest that everyone should be having children because religion requires it....well that is insane.

When I see humans doing good work it inspires me...gives me hope. But when I see humans disregarding the fundamental requirements for this planet and it's life forms, well I see the end for the humans.

I have this feeling in my gut that there will be a lot of suffering in the future. Hope i'm wrong.

people in destitute conditions try to use their children to get out of them, such as in subsistence farming, more farmhands, or selling kids labor, etc. Hence why birthrates are so damned high, not to mention, due to lack of access to modern medicine, so many of those children die before they are 5. Poverty and lack of stability are the biggest reasons for a growing population. We should concentrate our resources in helping people economically, empowering women politically, and improving the health of the population, and we will see population growth stagger and hopefully either stabilize and/or fall in a few generations.

First thing in order is to own the water. Then, you need to get a good grip on the food supply.

Meanwhile, people are starving and getting sick. They start to discuss what they can do and realize that they have no voice.

Now the time has come for people to band together or fall apart. We are seeing the beginning of this. This is what OWS was meant for. Drag the truth into the streets for all to see.

In the end, the 1% will disolve to 0% or fall. But they will try with some compassion cry and a false white flag!

access to abortion services. It is purely a medical issue, not an issue for society to decide upon. At most, medical ethics boards and reviews should deal with it, just like they do every other medical issue. I see the patients being able to have access to abortion(or any other medical service), as being necessary for a properly functioning society.

As time fades and suffering grows, there will be enlightenment. Religion and logic will have it out and religion will lose. Reality will be too hard to suppress. The believers will be set aside and they will finally see the true nature of things, or perish.

Then people will start writing new bibles that morph into what they need to control something.

Do take some time to read the comments. One guy piped in and said his cows get better treatment when their pregnancies go bad. Just more humane for the cows than the women in the state of Texas. sickening.

50. Potential lawsuits and criminal prosecution of Texas, for coerced rape, by sonogram wand
Sat Mar 17, 2012, 08:12 AM
Mar 2012

In the Texas law, women seeking an abortion in the first two months, have to submit to a trans-vaginal sonogram wand, in order to view the embryo in ultrasound.

This requirement seems to fit the federal definition of "rape," as a kind of "legally"-coerced sexual penetration, of a person not suspected of any crime.

Call it "Republican Rape." And? Take 'em to COURT. Be sure to call the newspapers, and let them know what you are doing.

Ideally, lawsuits and court challenges would begin to surface about three months before the November general election; beginning say, August/September 2012.

Just in case you're considering something like this.

Don't just get mad; take 'em to court.

There has been a lot of discussion lately about right wing hate speech, and justifiably so. Right wing talk radio is a cesspool of hate.

But when people on our side say that we hate too then we are playing right into their hands. The right wing is the side that hates. We progressives are not hatemongers. When discussing topics like this I leave the "H" word behind. There are plenty of other ways for us to express our feelings on issues like this which avoid our getting down into the gutter with the right wing.
