The police are still more concerned with intimidation than justice.

They are still serving the class that doesn't give a damn about them...the class that is looting their pension funds and putting their kids out of work.

This is what happens when "order" is more important to an institution than morality.

Where are all the other photographers when a photographer is being beaten?

What excuse have they been given to get them out of beating a member of the press? There must be something they've thought up that allows them to break the law...

Our photographer ZD Roberts was just beaten by cops @OWS. Thrown down, hair grabbed and slammed with nightsticks - while Zach yelling "I'm PRESS!" trying to show badge. Cops berserk. Zach following protest path tho I'm trying to get him to come in with film. He cannot be arrested again but I fear he's a bit pumped up taking risks. I will have him post when (if) he comes in safe. gp

Zach here - Back at the Palast office a couple around 3:30 was the last photographer to leave OWS at Union Square..I've got a welt on the right side of my head, hurts like hell, but not sign of concussion. Lots of protestors didn't make it out so easily.... writing something up in the morning as Badpenny is yelling at me to sleep... solidarity.
