You Know I Love Bernie Sanders - He Says All The Right Things - But.....

if you asked people if they know who Bernie Sanders is - a majority of them would think he's the Colonel from KFC.

We here at DU know and love Sen. Sanders. We agree with all the facts that he throws out when he's interviewed on MSNBC or Thom Hartman's program. Unfortunately - most people don't listen to MSNBC or Thom so most of what Sen Sanders says is preaching to the choir.

We need to get his message out to the majority of the people and the rest of the Dems in Congress and President Obama need to start talking like Sen. Sanders and delivering the same facts to a wider audience.

I've heard that Sen. Sanders might consider running for President in 2016. That would give him a bigger audience and more people would hear his messages. I sure hope he throws his hat into the ring. He certainly would make the other Dem candidates take note and perhaps echo some of the same things he does.

I just heard Sen. Sanders on the Ed Show. That's what motivated me to put up this post. He's a breath of fresh air.

They don't call it a blacklist but that's what it is.

Anyone who talks like that achieves instant "nonperson-hood". They don't exist.

And YES... a presidential run would make it that much harder for them to pretend he doesn't exist.

Back when he was a Congressman he was speaking out (and usually brilliantly) but unless you were really plugged into progressive media you'd never hear of him.

At least he has a lot more visibility now -- even though it's still far from enough.

If the networks give airtime to the Tea Party response to the SOTU, it's only fair that we be given a progressive response as well. I want to see Bernie or Elizabeth Warren fill this role.

The opposing party has long been given a shot at airing their response to the SOTU. With the Tea Party response Americans now hear from two wings of the Republican party. Democrats should do the same.

Or a Socialist Party. Yes, I know Sanders calls himself socialist but by voting with Dems on almost everything it takes away from that. He never gives props to another party.
