They stirred things up, but people didn't mind much when they were ridiculed or challenged. This woman seems to be going for a persona that can't be attacked or challenged. Very Barbara Bush-esque.

Then, literally one or two days later, there was a substantial eruption in Alaska (across the inlet from Anchorage) and that wasteful spending that, y'know, diverts airliners away from ash clouds seemed even less silly than when Jindal first brought it up.
