The problem is min wage isn't going to get increase UNTIL Corporations and uber rich feel it in

their pockets.

Look at the way and how min wage is always been raised it is when profits suffer and the rich aren't getting that rich.

Our economy is growing at a crawl but it is growing.

When corporations and uber rich start feeling it in the pocket book that is when you are going to see a jump to raise the min wage.

This is what a my cousin who is going for a masters degree in economics explained to me.

Don't know if his theory is right but I thought I put it out here.

I expect to get flamed.

Of course, because of off-shoring jobs and cheap imports of products, the corporations and uber rich are just not going to ever feel any discomfort ... at least in the short to mid-term future.

If we are going to see an increase in the minimum wage, it will be the results of political action, i.e., Democrats have to win in November.

It is a rather depressing notion to confront that if the political paralysis in this country continues and working and middle class folks keep slowly sinking, then we are in for some seriously difficult times ahead.

Not a single time the minimum wage has increased have I heard anything from the rich except that it would cause horrible economic consequences. I've never heard that it was a good idea from anyone except working people and progressives.

BUT when you see a talk about Food stamps being increase Min wage isn't far behind.

At least this is what my friend was laying out in his theory.
