The envelope was filled with so much junk and threats that it DID bother me. I didn't know what they could do, if riled.

I turned it in to the Post Office and they checked the handwriting and other info on the envelope. They showed me a box of similar threats from this person to others. One mistake the sender made was leaving a brochure with a stamped address/phone number. They must have used it as a handout during their street protests. That was enough for the Postmaster to make an identity. At that time, it was illegal to send threatening mail. Who knows what the law is today. Worth a try. At least they could build up a file.

Not everyone can shrug those off.

Just sayin'.

Otherwise you're enabling a stalker.

And, besides, if he/she is sending this crap to you, he/she is doing the same thing to others.

Report him/her, if not for you; then for the rest of us.

Too bad the U.S. Postal system is such a bargain that it doesn't charge by location. If it did, I would suggest sending it by way of Togu ... with stops in every corner of the Earth.

I threw away two hate letters I received after my LTTEs. They weren't threatening. They were pathetically obscene. Saying I wanted to have oral sex with Bill Clinton because in my letter I pointed out that Clinton had left office with a surplus in the Treasury and Bush put the country into a deficit.

But seriously...contact the police and the Postmaster.

Which seems quite reasonable to me. He sent another one about a year ago which I also turned over to the police.
While there is not exactly a threat, calling someone a "Fucking idiot" twice in 20 words suggests to me that the person could be dangerous.

Just after i posted this a friend of mine called. She had also received a similar letter from this guy in the past. She also said turn it over to the police.

BTW this is not the only guy. I seem to get a threat about every 6 months or so. Haven't stopped me yet, have hey?

explaining the stalker mentality, your humored acceptance of 5 pages of rant, a brief call to the PD to document the action. Continuing to explain you are not willing to enable veiled threats. Please include prime exerpts from the letter you received.............................. along with the e-mail address.

Of course you be a decent human being and send a sample of the LTTE to the stalker first for his review?

3) read the weblogs to find the IP address and other information of the computer which accessed the image.
