If that's true, I'm rooting for Seattle.

(Should I feel guilty for letting politics influence my choice?)

Manning hasn’t specifically outlined his political or social views, but some of them seem to be in defiance of Republican convention. For example, as a player for the Indianapolis Colts, Manning and his fellow players found themselves in opposition to their state’s (Indiana) proposed anti-union laws, laws common to Republican states called “Right to Work” laws because football players are part of a union.5

He is religious (Presbyterian), but I don't think he's anywhere near the ridiculous Tebow extremes.

I hate that he is a RETHUG, but hanging around Elway, that may be expected. He's at least pretty low key about it.

I find it pretty disgusting that most of the tax payers who subsidize the NFL can probably not afford to pay for the privilege of attending a game.

Observing the garbage being said about Richard Sherman, who is a pretty decent person, I will be rooting for him.

spent most of a day with him once. SIL says Manning is a great guy, bought lunch etc. Treated him as an equal.
I know he is a republican, but I don't think he lives it.

Remember when he left Indy he went around and thanked all those who work at the stadium as maintenance, ticket people even vendors? Labels don't always fit.

As I said, someone had written that he was a Teabagger. That member had also written about Manning's alliance with Papa John's Chairman and CEO John Schnatter.

Papa John's CEO John Schnatter Says Company Will Reduce Workers' Hours In Response To Obamacare

The Huffington Post
11/09/2012

In the wake of President Obama's reelection, one CEO is doubling down on his criticisms of Obamacare.

Papa John’s CEO John Schnatter said he plans on passing the costs of health care reform to his business onto his workers. Schnatter said he will likely reduce workers’ hours, as a result of President Obama's reelection, the Naples Daily News reports. Schnatter made headlines over the summer when he told shareholders that the cost of a Papa John’s pizza will increase by between 11 and 14 cents due to Obamacare.
