Alec Baldwin says GOP climate warrior should retire to 'solar-powered gay bar'

Lefty actor Alec Baldwin ripped Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) in a series of tweets, one of which said the climate change skeptic should be retired "to a solar-powered gay bar."

“Is there a bigger Oil Whore than James Inhofe?” Baldwin asked his 776,000 followers on Twitter Saturday.

“Oil Whore Jim Inhofe has betrayed every man and woman who lost their livelihood on the Gulf due to BP’s overwhelming negligence,” Baldwin, who currently stars on the hit NBC show “30 Rock,” tweeted later on Saturday.

It was one of several tweets aimed at Inhofe, including one public message to actor Matthew Modine and another person stating, “We need to have Inhofe retire to a solar-powered gay bar.”

Inhofe is a strong ally of oil-and-gas producers and a major recipient of campaign donations from that sector.

Baldwin tweeted Saturday, “We gotta get rid of Inhofe in 2014. He’ll be 79,” and, in an exchange with another Twitter user about the Limbaugh comments, noted that “Fluke isn’t a slut and Inhofe is an oil whore.”
