The squirmy kind...the kind that distracts and detracts from the reality of this crime. It's just an observation.

Skiddles candy, can of ice tea and his phone....He was not armed with a deadly weapon or engaged in causing bodily harm...No humor in the shooting of a child walking home from 7-11 store.

You actually think that someone who regularly posts here would think that the vigilante shooting of an unarmed young Black man is funny?!

How far DU has fallen...

No matter that I am truly saddened and angry at the situation - the post was about the error in speaking and how it detracted from the message. Rev. Al is a great speaker, but not a great reader of the Teleprompter. It was a cringe-worthy moment and I was wishing someone had run through the text with him before he went on the air.

sigh

I think Rev. Al must be dyslexic and thus explains why he has so much trouble with the teleprompter. The story is so serious that I was cringing that "skillets" was going to provoke laughter.

I heard him say that too. I though maybe he didnt know what Skittles are...
Wish the poor kid did have a skillet that night. A huge cast iron one so he could have smacked that bastard upside his head...
